About
Dr. Rouyanian
Hi, I’m Dr. Armeen Rouyanian, D.O. I’m a psychiatrist who genuinely loves what I do, and I’m currently accepting new patients across California.
I started my practice to remove the obstacles that keep people from getting care: long waits, inconvenient hours, the anxiety of sitting in a waiting room. Through telemedicine, I offer Saturday appointments from the privacy and comfort of your own home. Great psychiatric care doesn’t have to be tied to one location. It travels with you, wherever life takes you.
I grew up in Kansas City and studied Chemistry at the University of Kansas before earning my medical degree from Kansas City University. I moved to Oklahoma for my psychiatry residency at Griffin Memorial Hospital, where my training has focused on patients with severe and complex mental illness. Having treated people across the full range of acuity, I’m comfortable caring for everything from first-time concerns like anxiety and low mood to more complicated, treatment-resistant presentations.
I chose psychiatry because I’ve always been fascinated by human behavior: what drives us, what holds us back, and how the mind and body are more connected than most people realize. My chemistry background makes me especially passionate about pharmacology and medication management, understanding not just what a medication does, but why it works and how to tailor it to the individual in front of me.
What I find most meaningful is the privilege of being trusted with someone’s most vulnerable moments. Mental health struggles can feel isolating and overwhelming, and I never take lightly what it takes to reach out for help. My goal is to make that step feel safe, worthwhile, and the beginning of something better.
When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll find me traveling, hitting the ski slopes, exploring new restaurants, or spending time with family and friends.
